Onshore Senior AIX Systems Engineer/Team Lead
Level III support for IBM Global Services GAP account to include multiple onshore datacenters with approximately 3500 IBM 9117s strategically chopped into dynamic and logical partitions. The bulk of these servers were managed by twin, redundant VIO servers.
First year, built 44 dlpars in 3.5 weeks, without a NIM for GAP’s flagship onshore project, North American Labor Management (NALM).
After the project got feet, responsible for application support and troubleshooting.
When the project rolled out, began doing RFS (request for service) work for the entire account, as well as acting interim Team Lead for the AIX group.
Tasks included VIO server builds and configurations, lpar builds, HACMP Cluster builds, SVC disk storage allocations, dynamic LUN expansion, activating Capacity on Demand, maintaining 18 HMCs, lead systems engineer on majority of SEV I calls, and a myriad of other 3rd. level support activities.

Senior AIX Engineer for national home builder. One of two AIX engineers, my responsibilities include all hardware maintenance and support in the Pulte DataCenter in Tempe, Arizona. Additionally, major senior admin duties for various Project Managers and departments including development, staging, production and special projects. Pulte is a major mid-size IBM shop with an Enterprise pSeries 595, twin IBM 671s (7040s), and over 200 pSeries 505s, 520s, and 550Qs integrated with multiple SANs including an IBM Shark (now BigMouth) and an EMC DMX.
