SELECTED PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Led the project to redesign the application work processes to make the support of the internal applications more efficient and effective. IMPACT: Maximized the resource utilization through on-call rotation and cross training of the staff, reduced overtime by over 50%.
Led the project to migrate the data analyst teams in all divisions from a SASDome platform to a Unix Grid Support environment, which consisted of moving thousands of file systems and end-users. IMPACT: Moved the file systems and personal in increments allowing the entire project to complete without any loss of productivity.
Analyzed the internal applications for recommendations of migrations, retirement, and investment. Fifteen of the 24 systems included in the analysis were determined to be redundant. IMPACT: Reduction of superfluous applications by 58%.
Implemented the ITIL methodology in the application support area that eliminated the need for 24-hour support by the US teams. Proposed the front-line support was done by the offshore team during the evening hours with a handoff to the American teams during regular working hours. IMPACT: Streamlined support teams allowing the refocus of one third of the team to application improvements.
