Subject: Hernan M. Blanco
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Hernan M. Blanco. He worked directly for me in two different plant managers positions in Argentina. The first was in Garin, Argentina for around 3 years. The second position was in San Luis, Argentina for around 2 years. At the time my position was Director of Manufacturing for initially US Can and later Ball Corporation which had purchased the Argentina facility.
In both plants Hernan was instrumental in implementing good manufacturing practices and procedures. In both plants he implemented Preventive Maintenance Programs. In Garin he improved efficiency by 20% and reduced spoilage to 1%. In San Luis he improved efficiency by 20% in one department and 10% in the other while also reducing spoilage to 0.75% and 2.5% respectively. In both plants Quality Performance and Service (deliveries) ranked well above the 95% level. These performance levels compared very favorably with our USA performance levels.
Hernan is well schooled in Continuous Improvement using Manufacturing Excellence Techniques.and Lean Manufacturing He works well in creating teams and promoting teamwork in the manufacturing and logistics environment.
I found Hernan to be a very hard worker and he was dedicated to the company and its goals. He was always willing to give the extra effort which is a valuable trait.
I know that Hernan will become a good asset to the next company that is willing to offer him a position. I would be happy to discuss any questions that you may have concerning Hernan. Please feel free to contact me in the USA at 001-502-***-**** or via e-mail at ************@*********.***.
Sincerely,
Stephen D. Franklin
