I have extensive clerical experience and comprehensive knowledge of Human Resource, Risk Management, Office Administration, and Training; presentation and web based recruitment, selection, salary placement, pre-hire procedures of employees and drivers. The variety of positions and responsibilities maintained has given me the experience to coordination and collaboration with departments, be a primary point of contact for the public and staff, build interpersonal relationships, provide assistance where needed, use a two-way radio and assist with transportation routes, safety and awareness. For over 9 years I was the first point of contact for the district, a resource and information center for the community and over 15 years of increasing clerical and customer service skills. I recently worked with the Adelanto Elementary School District as a Personnel Specialist with support and assistance to the Director of Risk Management, replacing the work of an 8 hour position. As the Personnel Specialist I was responsible for managing all aspects of position control, advertisement, screening, interviewing, placement, termination and training; not to mention building and strengthening my organizational skills while learning and putting into practice Fair Labor Practice Laws, leaves of absence; FMLA and Workers Compensation, DOJ and DOT clearance, as well as, I-9 forms. As the Enrollment Specialist I had the opportunity to research and create a centralized enrollment center adhering to all state, health and district policies allowing enrollment and transfers into school, while providing information and resources to the community and families of the city of Adelanto. Previous years of employment I worked in domestic violence shelter, worked retail, drove a special needs bus and worked seasonally for the US Postal Service.

Currently I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an Associate’s degree in Behavioral Science, Speech and Communication and lastly Liberal Studies. As you can see from the array of degrees I have a strong interest in people’s behaviors, relationships and cultures. More than that, I have phenomenal multitasking and organizational skills including unparalleled customer service. I have repetitively been recognized for my customer service, leadership, team work, the ability to work above and beyond to get the job done and all while maintaining composure.

I am confident of my clerical and computer skills; I use Excel, Word, EPIC, county system, SIMS, workers comp, daily, in addition to Target Solution, training and Power Point. The typical office equipment used daily is printer, copier, fax, scanner, as well as, DOJ finger printing and badge/ picture equipment. During my years of employment with the district I served as Chief Job Steward for approximately 8 years. My service as Chief Job Steward gave me opportunities to negotiate, resolve grievances, discipline and work as a team for the benefit of the district and the membership as a whole.

Together with my years of experience, variety of duties, exceptional organizational, multitasking and customer service skills, not to mention my education, I have become an accomplished person. For these reasons I feel I would be an asset to your company for the current position advertised.
