Determine and maintain required workforce levels to meet customer requirements. Cross-train employees, train general operators, and develop creative schedules to enable flexibility and around-the-clock coverage to meet essential needs. Collaborate with all supervisors to ensure machines are scheduled efficiently; issue schedules in a master package to inform all departments of priorities. Prevent production bottlenecks by controlling and adjusting workflow and scheduling overtime. Collaborate with the plant manager, accountant, and officers to develop an annual budget; communicate budget details to all departments.
