PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Midwest Engineering and Testing Corp, Oklahoma City, OK – USA 03/2016 to Present Laboratory Assistant

Hired as laboratory assistant to support the material testing team performing soil, concrete materials and asphalt testing, in order to provide a technical analysis of the characteristics of the construction materials before, during and after construction phase. Key Contributions:

Perform plasticity index testing for soil classification based on international ASTM standards, used to determine the range of moisture content over which a soil will exhibit consistency, in order to recommend the type of additives required for construction.

Perform particle size distribution tests and analyze experimental quantitative data, to determine the relative proportions of fine sand, silt and clay contained in a given soil sample, which will determine the suitability of a specific soil, when it is used as a construction material.

Apply international standards to characterize soils based on physical and chemical properties, such as pH, soluble sulfate content, sand equivalent content and permeability, used as indicators for specification compliance of the soil.
