ACADEMIC THESIS/PROJECTS:

Thesis Title: "Non-Thermal Reliability Considerations for Oil Cooled Data Centers and Its Serviceability"(Graduate Thesis)

Supervising Professor: Dr. Dereje Agonafer - University of Texas at Arlington (https://www.uta.edu/profiles/dereje-agonafer)

Description: The main focus is on the reliability and compatibility of the materials when immersed in mineral oil.The leaching of the materials particularly plastics is regarded as recurring effect and is an important factor when the properties of material is taken into consideration. The issue of serviceability is a crucial segment of oil cooling. An indepth study was done using Machines and Instruments like Thermotron environmental chamber, Instron, Multimeter etc.

Project Title:" Design of Frictionless Train System Using Magnetic Levitation " (Final year Undergraduate project)

Description: Design was built using permanent magnets and electromagnets. The levitation is done by supplying controlled voltage and amperage to the electromagnets. The movement of the train by angular deflection of the electromagnets.

Project Title: "Design of Scissors Type Load Lifter with Index Table"(Undergraduate project)

Description: Designed and built a multi-level car parking system (Prototype) .Main objective is space reduction in the metropolitan cities.Helpful in an area that has fewer parking spaces with allocation of mere vehicles. Lifter which has scissor mechanism to lift the loads.Geneva mechanism for indexing the vehicle to fill in vacant slots.

Seminar Title: "Design of Automatic Glass Cleaners for Elevated Buildings "(Undergraduate Seminar)

Description: The climbing constructive variant of robot is designated in cleaning-washing services of frontage buildings with glass walls. The system is composed from mechanical system with light structure, power system formed by pneumatic vacuum system, and command moving in conformity with predictable software.

ACTIVITIES:

GRADUATE

• Presented a Poster on "An In-Depth Understanding of Oil Immersion Cooling Strategies for Data Centers" at ES2(Center for Energy-Smart Electronic Systems), an Industrial Advisory Board Meeting at Georgia Tech University, Atlanta.

• Worked on the experiments done on IT equipment immersed in mineral oil using immersion cooling method and exploring the methodology for oil immersion cooling which is different to air cooling as a member of the EMNSPC team at The University of Texas at Arlington (May 2015- Nov 2015).
