General activities:

Responsible for all maintenance inspection activities of storage tanks, which included on; Mechanical activities, welding activities and Painting activities as per API 653, 650 and 620.

Preparing the inspection test plan (ITP) and quality control procedure (QCP).

Reviewing the construction method of statement (QMS) and making comment as per project specification, procedures and ITPs.

Performing the Material receiving inspection, In-process inspection and Final inspection for receipt, materials, equipment and workmanship.

Ensuring that Calibration of Equipment's are traceable based on Aramco standard.

Mechanical activities:

Carry out the Diesel test, Vacuum test, Holiday test and Hydro test for storage tanks as per API 653

Welding activates:

Requesting the welding procedure specification (WPS) from O&M as required by welding activities. then communicate and follow up with Aramco inspection unit for final approval.

Follow up implementation of welding procedure specification (WPS) in fabrication shop and site location.

Monitoring the welding parameters, such as : Arc Voltage, Welding Amperage, Travel speed, Pre-heat, PWHT, Consumables, Polarity, Welding position, Heat input control, Cleaning, Inter pass Temperature, Joint design on a random basis while the welding work is in progress.

Preparing the daily weld fit-up inspection report based on required fit-up inspection on welding joints & daily weld production report (weld summary sheet), as per applicable WPS.

Monitoring the welds consumable storing, Portable oven and holding oven usage and control of electrodes movements.

Preparing, Maintaining & documenting the welders qualification records (WQR's), which included on; list of qualified welders, welders qualification test record, welder’s job clearance card (JCC), daily weld production report, welder performance card, welder performance qualification test record.

NDT activities:

Coordination with NDT agency through inspection unit for inspection & testing requirements at site.

Participating for Selection of proper NDT technique.

Coordinate with NDT agency through inspection unit to select TML location and UT thickness measurement for external inspection (tanks shell and roof) and internal inspection (tanks bottom plates and shell) based on MFL.

Monitoring the performance of the work for all required NDT activities that has been done by Specialist Supplier.

Painting activates:

Reviewing the painting specifications, blasting and painting procedures. Inspection of surface preparation and painting works of tanks for compliance with Health, Safety & Quality requirements in accordance with project specifications.

Checking, verifying and recording the environmental conditions (Surface temperature, Air temperature, Dew point and RH %) before blasting and Painting.

Verifying the Abrasive materials conditions before painting that should be: Free from dust and other contaminations, Paint materials shelf life and storage condition, manufacturer batch number with correct data sheets.

Verifying the Paint materials shelf life and every receiving material, Paints mixing ratio and pot life before paint application, Paint system according to client requirements.

Updating and preparing records up to date for Blasters and painters qualifications.

Checking the Surface profile after blasting with relevant standard with Testex tape.

Inspection of painting and coating of various equipments and piping by using Holiday detector and DFT gauges during priming, mid and final coat stages and maintaining the records for all the stages of inspection.

Preparing, Maintaining & documenting the list of qualified abrasive blaster & coating applicator based on; coating applicator certification card & critical coating personnel.
