Maintenance/Facilities Manager – Feb 2006 to Sept 2015 Atmel-TSPIC – Vishay Building, FTI complex Taguig MM Responsible for managing all aspects of the day to day maintenance and facilities activities in a cost effective way, and ensuring that commit deliverables are met that is OTD (On Time Delivery), CT (Cycle Time), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Plant environmental condition and safety of all personnel. Duties:
Directly reporting to General Manager, provide update and reports regarding machine performance and improvement plans, Facilities and safety concern and cost savings projects
Managing a team of multi-disciplined maintenance supervisors, technicians, facilities engineers and technical clerk
Provided technical support in establishing corrective/preventive action for machine and process improvement.
Define, justify and manage maintenance and facilities budget
Conduct employees performance review (quarterly) base on previous and current performance and define needed trainings and PIP (personnel improvement plan)
Manage multi-disciplined team consist of Production, Process Engineers, QA and Maintenance to ensure on time closure of MRB’s, DNF’s, corrective/preventive action, audit findings are being met.
Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems thru following indices OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), MTBA (Mean Time Between Assist), MTTC (Mean Time To Convert). Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems regularly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Overall champion for all the activities required for the buy-off/qualification process prior the release of any new tool/equipment for production use
Overall champion for the selection process of new equipment, obsoletion of equipment and tooling.
Define and establish scope of work of all contractors – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical
Drive process improvement with emphasis on error and mistake proofing solutions (POKA YOKE)
Ensure that all employee (new/old) and contractors are well oriented and in compliance to safety requirements of the company
Provide monthly reports of the quality of facilities related service provided to Atmel-TSPIC. These include but is not limited to; Environmental out-of- control incidents resulting to shut-down, with corresponding analysis and corresponding actions taken, results of all 3rd party monitoring activities which affect the company, e.g. waste water
Provide acceptance/rejection reports to all projects done by contractors
Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in manufacturing semiconductor industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
Preventive Maintenance III – Nov 2002 to Feb 2006
Atmel-TSPIC – Vishay Building, FTI complex Taguig MM Responsible for managing Plant OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and running the preventive/predictive maintenance program of the maintenance department. Ensuring that all machine unplanned breakdown is address immediately. Duties:
Define and establish preventive maintenance procedures of all key manufacturing equipment
Define and establish schedule frequency of machine preventive maintenance base on OEM (original equipment manufacturer) recommendation and historical data
Monitor and provide improvements plan for all manufacturing equipment using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) as the major indicator
Conduct training to all maintenance technicians regarding machine operation, set-up/repair and calibration.
Generate training modules for machine basic operations, set-up/repairs.
Establish and implement Machine Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (MFMEA)
Initiate machine modification, innovation to prolong machine life and improve its performance
Maintained records and tracked work orders, spare parts and maintenance history of equipment

Provide technical expertise during set up of new product introduction and recommend necessary actions to optimize its process.
