Business Office Manager

The Waters of Covington - Covington, IN-June 2007 to June 2009

Responsibilities

I was responsible for all the maintenance of patient files. I had to take care of all the admission paperwork. I kept track of all the patient accounts. Helped families apply for medicaid for those who could not pay themselves. Collected all of the money owed to

the provider. Completed bank deposits. Worked with insurances by phone to see what was holding up payments. Also was responsible for employee file maintenance. Completed reports monthly.

Accomplishments

This job was a very busy fast paced office.During my time there, I grew very fond of a lot of the patients and employees. I enjoyed helping the families of the patients as most of them had no clue how to go about the process of admission, or what they needed to do for the medicaid to be approved. Customer service was very important. All admissions and updates were done on the computer system. Customer service was important in dealing with the patients and the families. Responsibility of the collections process was a change for me, but I learned how to contact people who were late paying. I learned to contact the insurance to see what was holding up their payments, and also the medicaid office at times had to be contacted.
