Conversion of Textbooks and Gale books to OEB XML per the GVRL DTD and

specifications. The converted XML along with images go through a content

loading process involving various stages of QA to be finally available for

readers on the Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL). Gale Virtual

Reference Library is an electronic database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and

specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Exclusion is

the removal of Permission Exclusions form the GVRL XML primarily in the

Legacy titles. Exclusion removals also become integral within the

conversion of current volumes.

Client Description:

Gale is a world leader in e-research and educational publishing for

libraries, schools and businesses. Best known for its accurate and

authoritative reference content as well as its intelligent organization of

full-text magazine and newspaper articles, the company creates and

maintains more than 600 databases that are published online, in print and

in microform.

Responsibilities:

. Check the following items in smoke testing in both Legacy and Omni

Production servers.

. Loading to the Staging servers - Legacy (CQA) alias Legacy (Inapp) and

Omni (Gold) by running the Scripts at Customer server.
