To whom it may concern:
I am writing to you in reference to your need for a Human Resource Director. I was made aware of your need by Russ Middleton who has been a long time family friend. I thank you in advance for considering me.
Your position sounds most interesting. As you will see my background is vast and concentrated in the area of Human Resources/Corporate Relations/Community Relations. I have been blessed to have been able to serve in various capacities ranging from entry level to Regional Manager. Currently at Fluor BWXT I manage the HR function for over 450 salaried and hourly USW employees, however we are faced with not being funded by the Federal Government which could mean massive layoffs. While at ZF Steering, I managed the Employee Relations function for over 800 hourly and 500 salaried employees. As Corporate Manager of Human Resources for Toyo Seat USA (a Japanese Auto Co), I thoroughly enjoyed that position as I was responsible for the overall direction of the Human Resource function for three facilities in three different states and was heavily involved in Leadership Development, Employee Development, Wage and Benefit Administration, Recruiting, Performance Management and all other aspects of Human Resource management.
When your position was brought to my attention, I have to say that I was more than excited! Not only do I have the skill set which aligns perfectly with the needs of the position, I so have the desire to work in such a professional environment as your company. I feel not only would I benefit from what the position has to offer, but that I would be most beneficial to your organization as I am such a dedicated and loyal person and want to treat others as I would want to be treated with dignity and respect.
I look forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience in order to discuss your wonderful opportunity in further detail. You may reach me on my cell at 606-***-****.
Sincerely,
Kevin D. Carpenter
