Objective:

To return to the work force and be productive while utilizing my formal training and extensive experience. I am looking for something that is very simple, and not to taxing. (I know this is lengthy, but it gives you a complete detail of my experience).

1/1991-11/1992 Allied Clinical Laboratories Tucson, AZ

Position: Human Resource

The human resource was created for me. My responsibilities included but were not limited to, assisting with employees with time cards and making sure that the employee’s time was reported and that they received their correct pay. Interviewed prospective new hires, forwarded application and resume to the correct department who was hiring. Created new hire packets along with explaining benefit packets to new hires, organized a huge company picnic function at Old Tucson Studios and other company functions along with keeping the employee’s moral up. After six months the position was disbanded and company moved to California, then the laboratory was sold.

Northwest Hospital

Position: Lab Secretary, Computer Tech and Troubleshooter

Worked front desk greeting patients, answered phones, typing, giving doctors and nurses lab results regarding patients, spinning blood down and putting in refrigerator. Backup on computer system, trouble shot computer problems, went to the nursing floors to assist nurses with computer problems. Promoted to Human Resource.

5/1984-11/1985 Allied Clinical Laboratories Bedford, TX

Position: Receptionist/Secretary

Hired as a receptionist/secretary; I worked on the Multi-Mate Word Processing (self taught on computer). Handled a highly sophisticated PBX system; typed marketing departments’ documents, new agreements between the lab and client. Assisted the Executive Secretary when she was not available, booked and arranged business flights, set up meetings for the Lab Controller and Sales Representatives for other states, hotel and car rental. I also was an assistant coach for our companies’ softball team.

Promoted: Data Processing Department

In charge of backup on a large lab computer system which took about two hours. Trouble shot computer problems, went to hospitals, clinics, and doctor’s offices to assist with their computer problems and setups. I made sure an inventory list was kept on all computer equipment for lab, hospitals, clinics and physician’s office. Took equipment to Dallas for regular maintenance and repair, built co-axial cable, and ran cable throughout the lab at times to keep the system up and running. Transferred to Tucson and started at North West Hospital.

7/1981-4/1983 S & J Bridal Shop Carmi, IL

Position: Business Owner/Manager

Created wedding gowns and floral arrangements for weddings, took gowns, floral arrangements to the place where the wedding was to take place. Assisted photographer during wedding photos to make sure everything was situated correctly. Hired employees, kept inventory and books. Reason for leaving: Sold due to a divorce.

Troop Leader

I was a troop leader for 40 girls. All of which had never been in Girl Scouts. There were Brownies and Girl Scouts. I held troop meetings once a week. Camp trips at least twice a year. Taught self confidence, manners, respect of others and other various Girl Scout related stuff.

The 40 young girls were from ages 7-12. I was in charge of these young ladies and I saw that their weekly troop dues were balanced and showed them how to keep books. When they sold their Girl Scout cookies, their sales had to balance as well. My troop was the first troop to sell 5000 cookies for one troop whom hadn’t been sold cookies in 40 years.
