•Catalan Number: It is a large random natural number ‘n’ is agreed upon by communicating parties as the secret key .

•This project proposes the encryption algorithms using Catalan number as a key

•This method is resistant to most of the types of attacks such as plain text attacks and chosen cipher text attacks

•The cost of the encryption process done using Catalan numbers is less when compared with the encryption process done using prime numbers .

•Also, the computations done in this process are less than the computations done in the process using prime numbers.
