Job Description:
Operate the grinding circuit which includes SAG mill, conveyors, apron feeders, quicklime feed screw feeder, vibrating screens, hydrocyclones, slurry pumps and other auxiliary equipment.
Ensure that the circuit is fed at the required rate and the product meets the desired size and pulp density criteria.
Ensure that the circuit is operated at the desired level of metallurgical parameters.
Take regular monitoring of belt conveyors tracking.
Take regular monitoring of transfer chutes build up.
Take regular monitoring of SAG mill feed rate and critical speed setting.
Take regular monitoring of quicklime dosing.
Take regular monitoring of apron feeder speed and lubrication.
Take regular monitoring of feed-water ratio.
Take regular monitoring of flow rates.
Take regular monitoring of SAG mill power draw and mill load.
Take regular monitoring of gravity circuit feed flow rate.
Take regular monitoring of cyclone feed flow rate, pressure and number of cyclones operating.
Take regular monitoring of various streams’ percent solids.
Add grinding media to the grinding mill as directed.
Take and prepare all required samples for assaying.

Maintain water level in basin or cooling tower and fuel supply, check water gauges, lube oil gauges, check engine oil, actuator governor oil to normal regulate the flow of distribution system.
Analyze water samples and add chemicals as required
Oil, grease and adjust machinery and equipment and make minor repairs.
Make periodic inspection to see that all equipment and controls are operating properly and are in good condition.
Maintain inventory lists and requisition supplies, material and repair parts.
Clean floors with oil spell or fuel, window and tool equipment.
Oversee the operation of such equipment diesel generator, pumps, and water softeners.
Water heater, electrical switch, cooling tower fan, fuel supply pump, and booster pump and other equipment function in operation.
