Passed BA ( Hons.) in Political Science from Maulana Azad College, under University Of Calcutta

Passed Diploma in Social Work (Labour Welfare) from Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, under University of Calcutta

4. Professional Experience:

Started career as Welfare Officer in Tiatghur PLC, a Scottish Group managing six Jute Mills in Nov ‘74

Responsibilities: Entire Welfare activities in Titaghur Jute Mills No 1& 2, compliance of all statutory obligations, under different act and rules, all training and manpower development activities including Apprentices Act.

Moved to Naihati Jute Mills as Industrial Relations Officer in Dec’ 78, Job responsibilities included entire Industrial Relations activities in the plant, bipartite/tripartite negotiations settlements, adjudications, disciplinary matters.

Joined Balmer Lawrie, a conglomerate with diverse portfolio as Personnel Executive in Aug ’81, left in Feb 2000 as Regional Personnel Head : Responsibilities: included all matters of HR /Industrial Relations, Manpower Planning, Disciplinary Matters in regional level, Performance & Talent Management, Health, Safety and Environment Management, responsible for entire HR activities across the region.

Joined Lafarge,a French Cement Major as Head ( HR) in March 2000

Responsibilities: All matters relating Organizational Development including structure, process and people, diagnostic survey/diagnostic work as may be necessary and interface with external consultants, formulation of policy and procedure with regard to personnel systems such as recruitment,promotion, job rotation, job analysis, performance appraisal, manpower development activities including identification of training activities, designing and organizing training programmes, evaluation and review as also recommending external training programmes .

Joined Zen Marketing & Technologies as General Manager ( Integration Manager ) in Aug 2005, a process driven company engaged in Process Engineering .Job responsibilities included

Business development and integration of all departments /branches/disciplines in the overall growth of new business.

Presently working as Consultant in Shri Balajee Corporation as Consultant from Feb 2010 looking after business development of the Company. Besides looking after the entire gamut of new activities like acquiring new business.

Working as Secretary for a trade organization based in Kolkata,which is involved in promoting, protecting and safeguard the interest of importers of specific goods from neighbouring countries,maintain a cordial dialogue between importers,exporters,producers and users of specific products on the one hand and the Govt on the other .
