Work with Quality Systems Specialists on duty for proper Nonconformance Documentation standards in order to ensure traceability and root cause analysis of common defects.
Electronic Technician II, ManTech International (JPO MRAP Program), North Charleston, SC 04/2008 to 09/2013
Deployed to Afghanistan, from February 2012 to September 2013, implementing upgrades in addition to retrofits of electronics systems on Oshkosh M-ATV plus IMG variant vehicles to adhere to the new criteria for vehicle electronic devices and systems, including the latest technologies. Conducted inspections of repaired equipment to assure equipment performance and dependability. Writing Reports of all work performed while on a Forward Operation Base. While working in North Charleston from January 2009 until deployment, I served as a member of a team performing integration of various C4I systems on the Army IMG Dash Max Pro MRAP vehicles, HMMWV and Oshkosh M-ATV variant vehicles for deployment overseas. The work required following all security directives, safety rules, environmental regulations, and coordinating with various departments on integrated vehicle system inspections. Served as backup Line Lead, then Line Lead attending production meetings, relaying information to line personnel, maintaining parts inventory, and verifying serial numbers.
Leadership and Assistance: Recognized as the “go-to” person for knowledge and experience with specified vehicles and associated Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems. Served as the leader of a tiger team, keeping count of vehicles with particular cables, pulling specific cables, and assisting in removal of installed equipment to allow access to problem areas.
Quality Control/ Troubleshooting: Tested circuits, analyzed problems, and checked completed installations using a seven-step QA examination to isolate and diagnose the cause of malfunctions for defective components, loose wires, and poor connections. Used a BIRD 6000EX spectrum analyzer to verify proper working parameters of antennas and put each vehicle though numerous QA tests for equipment installed and hardware used.
Personal Advancement: Promoted to Line Lead to train new hires during development of new facility for the prime contractor; supervised up to nine personnel and gained experience with Quality Assurance (QA).
Field Service Rep: Called upon for a Forward Operation Base shutdown process, prepared units’ vehicle fleet with proper C4I for convoy to new location including training on multiple systems.
