Credit Control Coordinator

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe is Zimbabwe's largest provider of telecommunications services, providing solutions in mobile and fixed wireless telephony, public payphones, internet access and payment solutions. Working in the credit control department I am responsible for Ledger with 2300 customers for receivables and collecting revenue from both corporate’s and individuals amounting to over US$4 million per month. The job also involves vetting new customers and credit checks with TransUnion and account creation for new customers, meeting customers and making follow ups with slow payers through telephone, email and site visits, approvals and adherence of payment plans. Handing over defaulters for litigation. It also involves giving daily reports on payments and sales and monthly aging analysis and attending to customer queries and reconciliation of postpaid accounts and billing support and VAT compliance. Special Achievements

Reconciliations specialist, found a way of minimising reconciliation process for some accounts with more than 3 years outstanding queries.

Working for this insurance company I performed accounting duties in the organisation within the year of internship. The duties included timely payables of Creditors and Accounts payables

(local and foreign) ; Credit control and Risk Management and Quantifying the clients risk, Chasing after overdue debtors through telephone, emails and site visits, Creditor’s reconciliation, loading of payment, processing of stock purchases, Reconciliations of bank accounts, posting of bank account entries. Petty cash control plus reconciliations and filing of invoices, insuring mortgage loans. Preparing of contracts, Stationery and office groceries control and Preparing of various report for CFO and preparing various financial statements up to trial balance.

Part Time Jobs
