Summary of Qualifications
As a Case manager, I educate young women ages 19-55 seeking Plan 1st Medicaid, regarding making decisions about birth control methods, if any, and inform them of the dangers of engaging in sexual relations. Case management is also performed when making appointments using the EMR-Electronic Medical Records. Typing and MS office products are used daily. Psychosocial interviews are performed daily as well. Transportations inquiries and counseling any dysfunctional families are performed on an as needed basis. Problem solving all areas of social services is also provided. I am a very sociable people person. Great team player and determined to meet the needs of the patient. As a Home Health Care Nurse, I made home visits to adult patients and infants.
Performed all homecare skills such as drsg changes, labwork, wound vac application, teaching and documentation etc. Supervised Lpn’s and Na’s.
When I was a staff nurse I provided excellent beside care such as taking blood pressures, temperatures, pulses and respirations. I also had start intravenous lines, drawing blood, (venous and arterial) giving injections, physical therapy and of course educating all patients regarding their diagnosis. I also served as relief charge nurse as needed while in the Hi-Risk Nursery. In the nursery, I provided the needed compassion and educational support to infants as well as their parents. I also worked as a staff nurse in Same Day Surgery Unit. I would prep patients for surgery and administer care pre and post surgery as well.
As a neonatal nurse technician, I functioned as nurse assistance. This was the beginning of my love for maternal care. Assisting the nurse as needed. I also demonstrated great skills when providing care to all of my patients along with educating them regarding the care needed for their infants.
It will be a privilege as well as an honor to lead and guide this division. My goal is to cultivate and develop the brilliance of a dynamic cohesiveness among coworkers via education and communication which results in optimal patient care. It would give me great pleasure to enrich the career that has given me so much compassion for others over the years.
