Art Director / Graphic Designer / Magazine Coordinator 2011 to present

Art Direct, design and produce The Decorative Painter. A quarterly, 96-128 pages, international magazine produced for the members of the Society of Decorative Painters.

Oversee all aspects of the magazine including, graphic design production through liaisons with printers, photographers, copywriters, proofers.

Acquisition editor of projects for magazine, sending contracts and working with the artist to collect the material needed for articles.

Plan, acquire projects, get quotes, purchase props, organizes, and direct the photo shoot of all craft projects for each magazine that is produced quarterly.

Color correct all photos, layout pages of magazine, make production ready, and prepare for website, preflight and make all corrections before uploading files to printer’s ftp site. Use printer’s program “Simon Express” to preflight again and soft proof.

Set up magazine to be placed on the Society’s website.

Respond to and assist co-workers with signage, brochures, calendars, forms, e-zines design, prepare photos for Facebook of website or any other needs.
