Master of Pharmacy:

Title: Formulation Development and In vitro Evaluation of Bilayer Tablets of Aspirin, Clopidogrel Bisulphate and Atorvastatin Calcium using HPMC as a Polymer.

Description: The present work was carried out to design and evaluate the bilayer tablets of Aspirin, Clopidogrel Bisulphate and Atorvastatin Calcium for atherosclerotic patients suffering from various heart diseases. Clinical trials showed that combination therapy when used in dyslipidaemic patient with coronary heart disease reduced cardiovascular events. The tablets were prepared by using Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose E15LV as a polymer, and using croscarmellose sodium as super disintegrant. The prepared bilayered tablets were evaluated for its physical properties, in vitro release studies and similarity factor.
