A business professional with over twenty years experience in the commercial construction industry, I am a licensed electrician with significant project management and critical systems/infrastructure experience from multiple perspectives; owner, client, service provider, General Contractor. I am a motivated self-starter, and adapt at retaining and leading a team of experts towards the successful completion of a project while ensuring that proper processes, procedures and policies are followed at all milestones during the project cycle. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Turner Construction, Manager Critical Infrastructure 2012 – Current Successfully managed the design assist, subcontractor tendering/contract awards, and construction of a of a two phase mission critical data centre/office space building. Project included 2 x 10,000 sf raised floor data halls, installation of separate Liebert DSE CRAC cooling systems and, 3 x 2500kw Toromont diesel generators, 2 x 750kw Liebert/Emerson UPS systems, outdoor S&C Vista switching system incorporating two new utility sources of 3MW each.

Oxford Properties Group, Manager Operations 2010 – 2012 Responsible for the operations of a portfolio of commercial buildings in the downtown core consisting of an 18 story office tower of 390k sf, a mission critical data centre based building of 190k sf, and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre complex base building, with teams of 4 Operations Supervisors and 36 Building Operators reporting to me. Utilizing BAS and PM systems such as Metasys, Angus, and Maximo, to oversee the consistent building systems functions and preventative maintenance programs. Other responsibilities:
Oversee design, implementation, and commissioning of all base building and tenant construction.
Developed landlord/tenant construction manual standard.
Prepare yearly, 3 year Capital Expenditure budget forecasts.
Negotiate base building service vendor annual contracts.
Preparation of yearly capital and operating budget forecasts.
Sign off of proposed tenant design drawings, and ensure contractor compliance to building standards.
Energy, water, and waste savings initiatives.
Coordination of all building systems preventive maintenance programs.
Reporting quarterly KPI results.
Acting chief fire warden, coordinating tenant floor warden training and fire alarm evacuation drills.
Ensure a 24/7 operation of a mission critical 1800 ton chiller plant. CB Richard Ellis, Senior Project Manager Critical Properties 2006 – 2010 As a Senior Project Manager in the Critical Properties division I successfully managed teams of multiple discipline consultants, general contractors and subcontractors through project cycles from design concept to final commissioning. Prepared project charters and executive business cases, consultant RFP’s, critical area work Method Of Procedure (MOP) documents, preliminary budget forecasts, and detailed project schedules highlighting critical path items. Managed all vendor contracts, change orders, and invoice payments. Chaired consultant design meetings, client progress meetings, and site construction meetings.
Projects:
• New build, 100,000 sf data centre/critical operations building. Project scope included building shell bomb blast and F2 tornado ratings, UPS system consisting of a 2N topology using 5 x 675kw modules, two new 5000 kva substations, a parallel synchronized diesel generator emergency power system configured with 5 x 2250kw prime rated generators, and an underground diesel fuel storage vault and pumping system. Project value 70M
• Multiple corporate office tenant improvement projects averaging 10M per year.
• Renovation of 16,000 square foot disaster recovery office space. Project value 4M
• Corporate Financial Facility Disaster Recovery LAN room build out, raised floor environment with high density cooling solution, UPS/backup generator power systems, and FM pre action fire suppression. Project value 2M 3
SNC Lavalin – Nexacor, Project Manager 2002 - 2006 Responsible for projects in SNC Lavalin’s “high-risk complex” division. Responsible for all building renovation work in Critical Operations building. Managed multiple high risk projects including but not limited to - critical equipment UPS and efficient high density cooling systems in server and network equipment environments, bi-fuel diesel generator building backup power with essential load transfer schemes, and integration of PML metering systems to remotely monitor critical telecom equipment loads in high level Bell Canada critical operations buildings throughout Ontario. Projects total yearly budget averaging 15M. Responsible for design criteria and assessment scope definition, budget, estimating, planning and scheduling, chaired all project clients' status review meetings, also user groups meetings with client representatives. Managed the planning, execution, and control phases to the original scope and construction budget while meeting project milestone and KPI dates. Chaired client biweekly current and projected capital projects funds allocation meetings. In addition to above was nominated by senior management to the position of Quality Advocate for the Ontario region, this essential role included developing the companies project management approach and methodology with the development and implementation of new employee training modules for all Project and Property Managers within the company.
