PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
April 2013 – Present : Southern California Edison
TRANSMISSION DESIGN ESTIMATOR
Responsible for the design, pricing, and permitting of projects within Transmission Department. Job duties include creating work orders, design, and pricing in Design Manager; obtaining proper permitting necessary for the completion of projects, 131D compliance, environmental rules and regulations, design in AutoCAD, JPA billing and notification, renter agreements and notification, land rights issues, and all processes necessary for completion of transmission projects. Familiar with current engineering, construction standards, and best industry practices. Handle emergency duty calls for transmission grid – assemble crew, wind load for emergency replacement, set up traffic control, and work order maps. November 2006 – April 2013 : Southern California Edison TRANSMISSION LINEMAN
Performed all aspects of both overhead and underground transmission line construction and maintenance from Apprentice Lineman, to Journeyman Lineman. Thorough knowledge of all methods, procedures, tools, and materials. Duties included, but not limited to, setting and removing of poles, pulling and removal of conductor, taking line clearances, testing and grounding of lines, and all other duties in accordance to proper policies and procedures of company rules and regulations. Worked with internal and external organizations to complete various projects under tight time constraints. November 2005 – November 2006 : Southern California Edison MATERIAL HANDLER
Working at Irwindale facility as material handler where my responsibilities included receiving and shipping of materials for all of Edison's facilities. Duties included receiving wire, identifying and verifying shipments received, and receiving materials into computer inventory system. February 2005 - November 2005 : Southern Wine & Spirit TERRITORY SALES MANAGER
Managed 22 sales accounts within the Western Riverside County area. Working with clients and outside vendors, I was responsible for making sure my product met and exceeded all sales goals, introducing new items and products, as well as ensuring current products were predominantly displayed compared to our competitors. I achieved this by working effectively and efficiently, providing more consistent and reliable customer service than the competitor’s sales reps. I was twice selected as Representative of the Month in my Sales Division within ten months, an accomplishment not achieved in such a short time frame in many years.
October 1991 - February 2005 : Stater Brothers Markets, Colton, CA WAREHOUSEMAN / SAFETY COORDINATOR
Held numerous positions, including safety coordinator, pallet yard, office foreman, liquor foreman, order selector, and forklift operator. Elected union shop steward to handle contractual disputes between company and employees. Represented over 100 members as steward. As office foreman, I was responsible for running the shipping office effectively, controlling all facets of labor force through Triceps computer system..
