Currently working with major Korean trading firm selling flatrolled carbon coated to OEMs, Distributors, Fabricators and exporters.

Previously, purchased flat rolled carbon steel for South Florida producers of steel/stud/track; arranged slitting, freight, supervised operations and sold finished goods. In a period of steel shortage was able to obtain thousands of tons of well-priced galvanized to allow continuous and profitable operations utilizing my long-developed contacts. Continue to provide contract sales representation for metal distributors,importers, exporters and foreign mills selling to US OEMs and other distribution channels.

While mainly dealing in prime sheet, plate and coil, also have extensive experience with secondary sales and with non-ferrous (stainless and aluminum). Among classes of trade sold are manufacturers of pallet racks, steel tanks, building products, HVAC equipment, tubers and stampers. Continuously opening new accounts in the US and Caribbean through direct cold calls, phone, fax and computer.

OWNER (1987-1994) (WORLD METALS GROUP, HIALEAH, FL)

Built and operated metal servicecenter with annual sales in excess of $5MM. Full P & L responsibility, supervised and trained sales, shop employees, negotiated purchases and contracts, developed sales, marketing, logistics and credit policies. Specialized in narrow-width slitting and sales to building product manufactuers. Led sales force to add significant number of new accounts to company books.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING (1985-1987) (TITAN INDUSTRIAL CORP, BALTIMORE)

Opened office and conducted sales for the Florida division of a New York based importer with concentration on coated products. At peak, sold more than 25,000 tons annually to manufacturers of building-related products and produced annual profits in mid 6 figures.
