2007 – 2013 Equipment Technician / Mechanic - Lincoln Service & Equipment: 9 Commerce Circle, Durham, CT. 06422: Duties Included (but not limited to) Maintaining rental fleet for regional supplier of industrial vehicles; Prepped new equipment as well as rentals prior to delivery, contacted customers and scheduled service calls and planned maintenance appointments, trouble shooting and performing repairs in the field. Also responsible for writing and pricing out shop quotations and coordinating repairs with management. I was also in charge of scheduling and performing general maintenance on fleet of service and delivery vehicles. Negotiated with vendors and ordered parts for customer equipment as well as shop inventory. Additional responsibilities included delivery of new equipment, rental equipment and customer equipment after it was repaired and training customers on the proper use of equipment. Factory trained on several brands of industrial and institutional vehicles and maintenance equipment.
2005 – 2007 Facility Manager – Premier Manufacturing Support Service: Performed all “in house” repairs on plumbing, ballast and lighting fixtures as well as planned maintenance and regular cleaning of facilities roof, drains and air exchange units. Supervise forklift operators and parts picking operation including 21 hollows, 10 forklifts and 30 stock chasers. Vendor control and facility maintenance manager responsible for design and implementation of employee safety programs, fire escape routes, fire alarms and safety inspections with fire department. Other responsibilities included general landscaping, snow removal, resealing the parking lot, and maintenance of climate control system including thermostat and heater repair and maintenance.
2003 – 2005 Project Manager – Hoffman Laroche: Started as a maintenance mechanic, then promoted to a project manager. Instructed 19 employees in cleaning details for housekeeping in 24 buildings within a 1,000,000 square foot facility.
2001 – 2003 Warehouse Manager – Monarch Building Maintenance: Responsible for receiving all incoming shipments, repair and maintenance of all vacuums, side by side floor machines and walk-behind scrubbers. Schedule and travel off-site for service calls and planned maintenance. Maintained stock levels and controlled inventory of cleaning products, equipment and accessories.
1996 – 2001 Shop Manager – Precision Janitorial Equipment Repair: Open Shop in AM. Check Messages and coordinate PM Schedule. Set road techs up with their road calls. Manage time and work schedule. Manage shop repair schedule as well as maintenance of fleet of service vehicles. Scheduled PM’s, tune up and tire rotations, etc.
