In 2002 Salt River Project (SRP), a power provider for AZ, lost 122 high-voltage power poles in a monsoon storm. The Governor of AZ did not have the funds to have us help, and after 7 days they declared a state of emergency. My company was called for help, I put together four teams of techs, handled logistics, fuel and the tie into four sub stations to restore power
working 36 hours straight to accomplish this task. 2000 thru 2005 I designed the temporary power grids, and generator set ups and have overseen setup and running of such events as both times president Bush cam to speak in AZ (Champlain air fighter museum and carpenters union hall), Barrett Jackson Auto Auction in Scottsdale, AZ, Tucson Gem an Jewel exchange, and every Nascar race at Phoenix International Raceway. Currently I am running a service department at a car dealership (service manager) over the last 13 years I cannot list one single event that has been the staple in my success but collectively they have given me the hands on skill and leadership skill to be an effective manager.

Fleet and Operations Manager
Phoenix, AZ
June 1999 to December 2005
As Operations Manager, I put together a freight process that helped turn freight into a profit center instead of a expense. I also helped implement a Notes based program for the rental coordinators and sales staff that offers tools to effectively rent and track rentals with more detail to streamline the process from start to finish. It was key in the billing end to help recover all dollars for labor, freight, accessories, and fuel. Monitored quality of service by acting as a liaison to customers, and monitored equipment readiness and failure rate implementation of service and support process that reduced customer complaints and gave the sales staff and coordinators confidence in the equipment they were renting and selling. A nice byproduct of this was a staff of technicians that took a lot more pride in their work and opened up a much better line of communication between the techs and sales staff. From 1986 to 2005: I have been in the industrial equipment field from a Technician to Fleet Manager. In this time I have acquired the hands on leadership skills and the ability to handle high pressure situations. All this together has given me the ability to be an effective manager.
