My career started in process equipment testing at laboratory scale while studying, then moved on to plant commissioning and optimisation in the chrome mines working on gravity concentration. Further when the opportunity came I moved to main stream diamond processing at De Beers, worked my way up from trainee metallurgist to Mineral Processing Engineer, this entailed the entire diamond production pipeline from ore to diamond ready for sale, I was later appointed as Section Head Dense Medium Separation Plant. I also worked as Senior Metallurgist at Anglo American Platinum focusing on debottlenecking of the plant and optimising steps in crushing, screening and milling as well as flotation, filter pressing to generate the concentrate cake required for smelters as end product. I subsequently went on to work for process equipment manufacturers in pumps, valves, crushers, screens, scrubbers, these jobs entailed sizing the process equipment for specific applications in conjunction with project houses, and then issue the commercial conditions of sales and invoicing. There has been a marketing aspect to this processes involving travelling to some African countries. Going forward, I wish to harness my experience, and excel in business management and leadership. Plus 15 years industry experience in total.
