Reporting to VP Regulatory Compliance and in a brand new position for the company. Responsible for the

inception, development and implementation of Trade Compliance program as well as international logistics

initiatives. Responsibility is global in scope involving multiple companies, numerous domestic and international

facilities, customers and suppliers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Spain, Australia, India, China and other APAC

countries as well as various Latin American countries. Functions as a change agent spearheading many cross-

functional initiatives to improve internal processes resulting in improved Trade Compliance. Works with HR on

Deemed Export screenings. Involved with customer and supplier due diligence, works with Legal on FCPA

statements.

Achievements - establishment of an International Trade Compliance program from scratch beginning with assessment,

Trade Compliance Charter, awareness and risk mitigation efforts, inception, development and implementation of Import

Compliance Policy, an Import and Export Compliance Management Program, formalization of international customs

compliance and logistics processes and procedures, Trade Compliance Intranet site, and Oracle ERP system

enhancements and modifications.

Acted as Interim Director of Logistics for 10 months with a $20MM annual spend during a merger and facility closing.

Responsible for laying the groundwork needed for development and implementation of the companys trade

compliance programs and related projects to ensure compliance with import and export control laws in North

America. This was a company who had little direct exposure to Trade Compliance previously.

Heavily involved with a new plant startup in China, both on Trade Compliance and Logistics issues. Launched a

global RFQ for freight forwarding services for China and all facilities globally. Responsible for oversight and

direct involvement in several RFQs and cost-out initiatives including freight forwarding, small parcel, TL and LTL

modes with a $70MM annual spend.

Achievements 2011 L&D Accountability Award, establishment of an International Trade Compliance program

from scratch including an Import and Export Compliance Management Program, Trade Compliance Intranet site,

formalization of processes and procedures and ERP system enhancements and modifications. Promoted to Senior

Manager of Global Logistics responsible for every mode within US and Canada and oversight responsibility

Locations worldwide and heavy involvement in the aerospace and oil & gas industries. Responsible for the

development, implementation and management of the companys worldwide trade compliance strategy, programs

and related projects to ensure compliance with the export control and import laws and regulations in North

America, Asia, and Europe.

Provides advice, counsel and training to senior management and business unit leaders in development of new

international business opportunities with export licenses and agreements, the Export Administration Regulations,

the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Controls,

DFARS/FARS, Anti-boycott regulations and other international trade requirements. Keeps current on development

and modifications of new and current U.S. and global regulations which affect company. Interfaces heavily with

Legal Department to interpret relevant laws and regulations and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Serves as Empowered Official pursuant to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and supervises

Export Administrator to draft, review and file licenses from appropriate United States Government regulatory

compliance software packages available to bolster compliance efforts.

Works with Purchasing to create strong partnerships with suppliers on trade compliance requirements to ensure

"fast, flexible and flawless" delivery within a secure supply chain.

As Transportation Manager with a $30MM annual spend, evaluates and coordinates all day-to-day logistics

activities required for the transportation of products via all available modes. This includes the transport of product

both internally and externally that maximizes customer service, reliability and minimizes cost. Negotiates and

manages supplier contracts.
