Emergency Medicine – Worked in one of North San Diego County’s busiest Emergency Rooms that are part of a Level 2 Trauma Center: Assisted in triage and treatment of patients with a variety of ailments; obtained vitals from patients and assisted Triage RN’s and PA’s as necessary.

Medical Interpreting – In conjunction with the CCE program, I acted as a liaison between Volunteers, general hospital staff, LSW’s, Nurses, Doctors, and Patients throughout the entire hospital in the interpretation of the Spanish and English languages (advanced/native fluency Spanish speaking was required). Stationed in the Emergency Department, was called to ALL Hospital departments to interpret, including: trauma, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatrics, oncology, radiology, surgery prep, post-anesthesia care unit, labor and delivery, mental health, medical surgery, the critical care unit, and telemetry.
