Does Greiss reagent affect the results of the Presumptive(Phenolphthalein) and confirmatory (HemaTrace) serology blood tests. May 2014- December 2014

The study was done with the supervision of professor Alison Shao based on observing whether the Greiss reagent affects presumptive and confirmatory serology blood tests. According to the findings, the Greiss reagent did not affect any results of the phenolphthalein test. All samples were positive to the test except the negative control. In the HemaTrace test, sample one, which was treated with Greiss reagent for one month, showed a negative result by giving a band only at the control area.

Provided technical support for all ongoing research projects including the culture and manipulation of embryonic stem cells, preparation of reagents, and maintenance of a laboratory supply inventory.
