Dear Sir/Mdm,
I have more than 13 years of experience in subsea installation, construction, repair, and decommissioning in the oil and gas industry of which I have assumed supervisory roles in the last 8 years. I am now looking to transition into onshore positions at a reputable company such as yours. Although successful in my offshore/subsea career, I have realised that moving into a shore based role is the next natural step in my career progression.
During my supervisory role, I am responsible for ensuring that the execution of assigned work is in compliance with client’s requirements and technical specifications. In the course of project planning, I am also actively involved in cost and schedule optimization and technical clarification meetings with client. To assist with project management, I am responsible for the daily reporting to the operations manager on the progress, areas of concerns and equipment/subcontractor performance. Throughout my career, I have been involved in various deepwater and shallow water projects and have competent knowledge of offshore operations and subsea tools/equipment. With my supervisory background, coupled with ROV experience and management of deck operations, I am able to quickly understand the requirements of specific offshore operations and its corresponding cost and schedule impact to ensure smooth and safe execution of projects. I understand the challenges of a career transition; however my enthusiasm and determination will transcend the difficulties to achieve my personal goals. I am able to demonstrate high numeracy and interpersonal skills. I am proactive in raising the bar in order to achieve excellence and I am highly accountable and will deliver on commitments.
I look forward in developing new skills and experience in the new position and I am confident that I will be a great asset to your company.
Please review my resume and contact me so that we can arrange a mutually convenient interview session to further understand my capabilities and how I can be an asset to the company. Please find attached my resume for your perusal.
Yours Sincerely,
Kevin Gouty
