I was assign to two to four patients under the supervision of an RN and my instructor. I perform basic bedside care, taking vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. I prepare and gave injections, pass meds, monitor catheters, apply dressings, treat bedsores, monitor patients and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments, fed patients orally or thru G tubes, and recorded food and fluid intake and output. I help keep patients comfortable, assisted with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
