Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project (SUMPP) - Reliance Power Ltd.:- Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) is a 3,960 MW pit-head coal-based power plant in Madhya Pradesh. The project is the first domestic coal-based UMPP awarded in the country by the Government of India. Sasan UMPP has been allocated three captive coal mine blocks – Moher, Moher Amlori extension and Chhatrasal – which have reserves in excess 700 million tones. Plans for development of these mines were prepared and approval for the same was got in a record period of seven months. The entire 3,960 MW capacity of the project has been commissioned and is operational. The project will be employing the advanced ‘super-critical’ technology for its power plant. This results in higher operating efficiencies and also reduces the emissions thereby making it an environment friendly technology.

Job Description

Deployment of sufficient numbers of firemen for fire safety coverage in plant area.

Deployment of sufficient numbers and types of fire extinguishers at plant operational area, off site as well as guest houses etc.

Periodic checking of fire vehicles, fire pumps and other equipments used in fire dept.

Hydraulic tests of all kinds of fire extinguishers (i.e DCP, Foam, Co2 and ABC type etc).

Conducting monthly inspections of fixed fire fighting installations.

Maintain records of the inspections, initial charging in register for first aid fire appliances.

Maintain records of maintenance, inspections and testing of all first aid fire extinguishers including its operational history in register.

Maintain records of all Fire Calls and investigate those.

Provide and arrange a trainig to Fire Staffs, employees, contractor workers and visitors.

Issue Hot Work Permit wherever required in plant area.

Resolving Non-compliances raised by Legal Authourities, Plant Insurer and other third party auditors etc.

Conducting onsite Mock Drills inside the plant area as it required (Monthly/Quarterly).

Liaisen with different departments and vendors to complete erection and istallation of fixed fire fighting systems(i.e hydrant, spray, different kinds of detection systems and Argonite systems etc).

Atained Daily Planning Meeting and raise the issues related to Fire Dept. OR give suggestions if required.

Procure the items, materials and equipments which are generally used in Fire Dept.

Doing all other jobs which are necessory OR required to run the Fire Dept.
