Processed Vender Appliance for new Installation on Towers and upgraded Ground Equipment (like cabinets, antennas, microwave dishes, base stations and coax lines). I would look over all CAD drawings (such as lease exhibits, detail construction drawings and tower structural drawings) to check and see if any modifications that needed to be made for the new/replace equipment on the tower and compound site. SENIOR CAD DESIGNER SKILLS

The title of a Senior CAD Designer comes with a very big responsible. Mainly to hold all CAD Designs to CAD Standards should as AEC Standards, AIA Cad Layer Guidelines, and NCDOT CAD Civil Standards. Which are the ones over the years I have had to work with. Every job discipline is very different from each other when it comes to Engineering and Design. But they all share one thing in common, holding to CAD Standards.

All drawings look like they were done by the same person and very important…

Shows how professional the Engineering Company or Firm produces great quality engineering design work.

Some of the things to look for in CAD Standards and QC…

Spell Checking – Very important to look like you know how to spell even the simplest of words.

Layers – All drawings in CAD need the capability to turn on or off layers by groups or single layers. Example groups: Existing (as it is now), Remove/Demo, (as it will be remove from site/location) Proposed (as it will be) and Future (as it could be later) design work.

Linetypes & Lineweight– Existing - lines are continuous and thin weight, Remove – lines are dashed or hidden and medium weight, Proposed - lines are continuous and are heavy weight to show the new design work over the existing.

Colors Lines – To visibly see the different type discipline and utilities on a CAD drawing.

Title Blocks – Is what shows who engineered and design the drawings with the company/firms name and steal.

Setting up drawings – Which is important to have the standards set in place before you start drawing anything. Like what scale is, sheet size, xfers, viewports and many more.

Last Plotting – Before printing the final set of drawings that is signed and seal by the engineer…All drawings are checked first by the drafter/designer, second by the Senior or QA/QC Manager before it ever goes to the engineer.
