Launched the North American arm of this global leader in SaaS publishing
software and media services development and implementation. Lead the
transition of this India-based company from North American unknown, to a
leading top-tier firm in just 18 months. Successfully co-lead firm's first
$6 million VC round (Draper Fisher Jurvetson & NEA) with a pre-money
valuation of $20 million. Initiated and lead the firm's acquisition in
early 2010. Personally generated 50% of firm's North American revenue.
2003 - 2007 - NewsStand.com/LibreDigital, Inc., Austin, TX - Senior Vice
President of Global Sales and Company Officer
Recruited by investors including VCs, NY Times and the Board of Directors
of this global producer and marketer of software, processing and sales of
exact-as-print, multimedia digital editions of the world's leading
newspapers & magazines. Developed and implemented company wide sales
strategy leading to a 300% increase in sales. Opened and managed sales
office in Austin TX, NYC, the UK, Asia, Australia and Germany. Initiated
conversations with R.R. Donnelley, first as a strategic partner who
eventually acquired NewsStand/LibreDigital in 2011.

Tribune, Gannett and Knight Ridder and subsequent purchase and integration

Participated in the development of the business plan; investor
presentations and road show and launch of the first city-specific, real-
time, B-2-B Web content and commerce network - dbusiness.com. Developed the
advertising sales plan and created all sales tools. Presented and sold the
site's first sponsorships. Recruited, trained and managed the national
advertising sales team. Generation of advertising and charter sponsorship
revenue, a major factor to sites' successful 1st & 2nd round VC raises.

Launched this multi-media sales and marketing firm specializing in cable,
Internet/Web, print & broadcast media. Provided sales representations,
sales training, strategic planning, business plan development and
implementation for new media launches as well as for repositioning existing
media platforms. Firm's revenue and strategic positioning contribution a
major factor in the successful acquisition of Prime Sports Network (Fox
Sports Channels); Four11.com & RocketMail.com by Yahoo! as well as the
purchase of WhoWhere.com by Lycos/CMGI.
1984 - 1988 - Financial News Network (now CNBC), NY, NY - Vice President,

Participated in the launch of the first business and financial cable TV
network. Hired and trained national sales team of eight. Developed
networks' sales plan; all sponsorship presentations and research standards.
Developed and sold networks' many multi-year sponsored long

in 1989 and is now CNBC.
