Professional Summary
With 8 years in the Air Force I have continually been placed in positions above my pay grade and
excelled with each position. I am a driven individual who can handle much more than my age
suggests. I execute programs with little to no guidance and one of my programs was featured by
the Air Force Times. The Air Force has been an incredible experience, but I am looking to
redirect my vast talents towards your company, instead using my skills on deployments and away
from my family. During my tenure, I have excelled in all areas of Human Resources, proven
myself as a leader and a seasoned manager, and mastered every facet of how to be the follower
and how to lead a Wing (company) from a CEO standpoint. I can fit into any organization
anywhere your company wants progress.

Highlights
Innovative analytical and research skills Professional Public Speaker
Keen decision making skills Flexible leadership and management skills
Experience
Executive Officer, Comptroller Squadron (USAF) Jan 2015 – Present
I am the commander’s right hand man. I tell him what he needs before he realizes he needed it.
In my short months so far I’ve reorganized all of his 145 personnel and billets, independently
staffing and collaborating with our Human Resources (HR) department. Creating and
strengthening their position descriptions to earn them a grade and pay that is in accordance with
their workload. I have been recognized by our higher headquarters for my creation of an Officer
Development Program where I created an HR roadmap for my fellow officers. In the
Comptroller Squadron I continue to learn how the money impacts the missions and where our
high-vis areas are, thus strengthening my CEO understanding of the Air Force.
Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (USAF) Oct 2013 – Jan
2015
I consistently found creative ways to market our program and create innovative discussion on
Sexual Assault. It’s not a very popular topic, but I have a way of making people understand
concepts without them knowing that they’ve just accomplished a training goal. I personally
trained our entire staff on the new Sexual Assault guidance and I was recognized by the Chief
Master Sergeant of the Air Force for my insight on Sexual Assault. I was the sought out speaker
for multiple commanders’ courses, spouse’s courses and our internal Advocate Program Training
Mrs. Laura Newberg-Hoffman, 712-***-****
(100 ppl/yr). I was hand-selected to speak at over 250 events and commander briefings in 11
months and reached over 35,000 people. My reputation preceded me wherever I went.
Sustainment Services Flight Commander (USAF) Aug 2011 – Oct 2013
I was a 26 year old in charge of 375 people’s careers and the largest most challenging flight in the
Force Support Squadron. I scrubbed all position descriptions, corrected payroll, and worked
directly with our Labor Relations and Staffing departments to ensure that the largest flight on
Holloman AFB was taken care of. I was responsible for over $151M in Air Force assets and
ensured that they had a life cycle in place for replacement materials, ensuring future success. I
lead meetings with marketing to ensure that we had enough advertising so our Bowling, Arts and
Crafts, Outdoor Recreation, Golf and Lodging operations could continue to make money, because
that money kept the Wing (company) afloat. If my operations failed, I was to blame. In the 2
years I was at Holloman, our sales were up by 40%, our contracts were renegotiated in our favor
(decreased cost by 25%), I created a successful movie theater from the ground up and we were
making money for the Wing for the first time in 15 years. For my efforts, I received the
Company Grade Officer of the Year from the 49th Wing (#1 Captain or Lieutenant in the company
for 2012) and our Squadron won the Air Force Eubank Award for 2011 and 2013.
Executive Officer to the Commander (USAF) Dec 2010 – Aug 2011
I was a 2 Star General’s Executive Officer (CEO equivalent) where I maintained all annual
evaluations for 37,000 Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AF ISR)
personnel. I created and maintained a confidential stratification tracking system, crushed Air
Force on-time records and managed a regional staffing office. This wasn’t just a challenging job,
it was near impossible, but with a 3 person staff, we exceeded all expectations and I was able to
lead our staff to beat the Air Force Promotion Boards 13 out of 15 times. That is absolutely
unheard of; because of my team’s efforts our Airmen were able to promote faster out of our
Headquarters than any other location in the Air Force. It was a challenging but incredible
opportunity I would do again. My efforts were recognized with a #1/17 Headquarter Lieutenant
stratification, setting me up for promotion boards to come.
Officer in Charge of Manpower Requirements (USAF) May 2010 – Dec
2010
I was hand selected to review all manpower requirements on our 64 worldwide locations and
16,000 personnel. I took it upon myself to research all of our billets with Human Resources to
correct any discrepancies that were found. My regional-mission allowed me to manage cross-
functional personnel and how to effectively lead from across the world. I maintained 4 federal
funding programs and never once faltered worth over $60M. I coordinated with national
agencies, two wings (large company equivalent), two centers (small company equivalent), and
our AF ISR Agency Staff (177 personnel). Even with a federal mandate requiring a cut of
personnel, volunteering to lead this endeavor, I was able to coordinate and communicate with all
the agencies (companies) affected to ensure that the mission would still function. My efforts
were again recognized with a #1/17 Headquarter Lieutenant stratification.

Officer in Charge of Field Operations (USAF) Aug 2009 – May
2010
I functioned at an executive manager level while working field operations. I received and
interpreted policy changes; my mission was to explain and maintain unit understandings of the
newly implemented guidance. I was responsible for reaching across the globe to keep our
personnel in the “know”. Every piece of guidance that came down was career altering
information that required complete understanding from personnel in the field, and it was my job
to help them understand. This was a very challenging job with differing time zones, but
incredibly rewarding to know that I was able to help so many of my fellow Airmen. I provided
human resources changes, policy adjustments, fitness program updates, communication
requirements, and Department of Defense information that was detrimental to over 16,000
careers. Additionally, I lead wing-level (CEO-level) briefings monthly to our leadership, which
was recognized by a #2/18 Headquarter Lieutenant stratification, and Wing Level Personellist of
the Year in 2009.
Military Personnel Element Commander (USAF) Sep 2006 – Aug 2009
I led 26 Airmen in a conversion of our old personnel system into our new personnel system. I
had to completely revamp how the office worked. The Air Force mandated that one office turn
into three separate units. I directed and trained all 26 Airmen in their new roles and
responsibilities. As a 21 year old, I was challenged to lead and train individuals who were
anywhere from three years younger than me or 20 years older than me. This may not seem like
much of a challenge, but age played a huge role in how we overcame this issue. We needed to
combine old school thinking with the new age requirement put forth by the Air Force. Even at a
young age I was able to take the best of all ages and mesh them into a killer functioning unit. We
supported over four wing level agencies, 17 directorates (small companies), and 1 detachment
(approximately 200 ppl). I ensured that we had specific human resources information for each
career field (intelligence, language, communications, etc). We specified our customer service to
our population and as a team we received an “Outstanding” on our first ever Unit Compliance
Inspection. I worked directly for our 2 Star General (CEO) who was always satisfied with our
energy, teamwork and dedication to the mission.
