To Whom This May Concern:
Application for the position of Registered nurse Div 1.
I would like to apply for the position of registered nurse. I am a dedicated and patient orientated
registered nurse with over five years’ experience working in hospitals and aged care facilities in both
Australia and India.
I have a caring and professional approach to patients, and am committed to continually updating my
knowledge and skills of nursing to keep abreast of new developments in nursing practice.
In 2012, I successfully completed the IRON programme for overseas nurses to ensure my nursing
skills and experience meet Australian standards and practice. In addition, in 2009 I completed my
Certificate III in Aged Care at the Victorian College of Health and Nursing. Over the last two years, I
have gained experience working in the Australian healthcare sector including in the surgical and
medical wards at Sydney Southwest Private Hospital as well as at Heathcliff Aged Care Facility in
Greensborough, Victoria.
This training and experience means that I am familiar with how Australian hospitals and health care
facilities operate and what is expected of me. I am confident of my ability to start work in the
Australian health sector immediately with minimal supervision.
I am a strong multilingual communicator with the ability to effectively follow instructions and work as
part of a team in a busy hospital environment. I have experience keeping clear and concise patient
notes, as well as communicating effectively and appropriately with colleagues as well as patients and
their families.
Sincerely,
Gurvinder Kaur
