SPECIFIC ACQUISITION AND DIVESTMENT EXPERIENCE
• Appraised Minimum Bid values of producing oil and gas properties for sale at live auctions conducted
by The Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse.
• Oversaw continuous appraisal of client’s properties which were used as collateral for a bank loan,
including presentations at semi-annual bank meetings.
• Continuously appraised acquisition opportunities at Southern Mineral Corporation, including total
technical analysis of acquisition of a Canadian public oil and gas company. Traveled with SMC CFO
to Calgary and made initial contact with target company president. The contact led to closing of the
acquisition and merger.
• For 13 years directed technical and commercial aspects of all acquisitions by Enex Resources
Corporation, a public oil and gas acquisition company which acquired properties for its partnerships
and for itself. Directed oil and gas operations activity while assisting with partnership management.
CHRONOLOGICAL WORK HISTORY
PETROLEUM CONSULTANT 2008-Present
AUG 2013-MAR 2015 – Contract work for The Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse, where I had worked full
time from 1998 through 2007. This position involved evaluation of Minimum Bid properties for live
auction to give the Clearinghouse an estimate of the prospective sale value and to manage sellers’
expectations. Minimum Bid properties appraised by me sold for more than $40 million in the October
2013 auction and for $10 million in the December 2013 auction. In the April 2014 auction, my
appraisals sold for $20 million of the entire $30 million auction, which included non-Minimum Bid
properties.
APR 2013-JUL 2013 – Consulted for Tiandi Energy of Houston in support of Tiandi’s UK client,
Petrofac, in its mature field redevelopment project in Mexico, onshore and south of the Bay of
Campeche, in two phases. In the first phase, I performed quality control in Tiandi’s Beijing, China office
for reserves determination by Tiandi’s younger reservoir engineers. The second phase was to work in
Petrofac’s Villahermosa, Mexico office for specific reservoir redrilling and redevelopment planning.

JUN 2012 – Plugged two inactive onshore wells for client, from filing permit with the Texas Railroad
Commission, obtaining plugging contract, completely through onsite supervision of plugging operations.
YEAREND 2011 AND 2012 (several months each year) – Sanchez Oil & Gas Corp. As consultant,
determined reserves and projected future production profiles and associated cash flows for several
hundred developed and undeveloped onshore South Louisiana oil and gas wells for Yearend values.
2009-2012 – Samurai Operating Co. Coordinated lease development planning and drilling potential with
geologist, geophysicist and operations expert for a Samurai property in South Texas. Determined exact
surface location for first development well by geological data and by physical presence on lease with
surveying company.
2008-Early 2013 – Samurai Operating Co. Oversaw continuous technical evaluations of company’s
Ohio oil and gas properties for maintenance and growth of the properties’ value for collateral in
Samurai’s bank loan with Park Cities Bank in Dallas.
THE OIL & GAS ASSET CLEARINGHOUSE 1998-2007
Senior Engineer. Evaluated property packages and made sales presentations of results for dynamic
action of live auction and for negotiated transactions. Sales of approximately $1.5 billion evaluated by
myself occurred.
SOUTHERN MINERAL CORPORATION 1997-1998
As Acquisitions Manager, performed analyses and evaluations in the merger of a Houston public oil and
gas company into Southern Mineral Corp. (SMC). Initiated discussions with and performed entire
technical analyses for the acquisition of a Canadian public oil and gas company by SMC, which was
completed. Performed many analyses and negotiated with other companies for acquisitions and
dispositions of properties.
MIDLAND RESOURCES, INC. 1995-1997
Vice President, Engineering & Operations. Directed and managed drilling and engineering activities for
development of company-operated 3D seismic prospects and led all company engineering, production
and operations activity. Increased production 40 percent in one year. Planned, directed and coordinated
engineers, geologists, geophysicists and outside vendors in all aspects of the drilling of ten exploration
wells and four infill development wells.
ENEX RESOURCES CORPORATION 1982-1995
Vice President, Engineering & Operations. Directed technical and commercial aspects of purchases of
oil and gas producing properties by public limited partnerships and by the general partner. Led
engineering evaluations, negotiated and purchased properties totaling more than $250 million. Directed
workover and development drilling activities while responsible for profitability, operations, cost control,
setting acquisition prices and resolving technical issues.
FIRST CITY BANK 1978-1982
Vice President & Chief Engineer. Directed all technical aspects of energy loans in $1.5 billion
department portfolio. Organized, standardized and supervised activities of four engineers for major bank
with customer lending lines on oil and gas properties ranging from $500,000 to over $50 million.
TEXAS EASTERN CORPORATION 1973-1978
E&P Division, Manager of Engineering. Evaluated, planned and justified to senior corporate
management participation of up to $300 million net to the company (each) in property acquisitions and
capital expenditure projects in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. Participated in project operators’
meetings in the UK and Norway.
EXXONMOBIL CORPORATION 1969-1973
Senior Engineer. Conducted technical analyses, workover programs and economic studies, first in a
production district office, later in Production Department’s East Texas Division office in Houston.
Developed computer program for planning profitability analyses of gas supply additions to Company’s
intrastate gas pipeline.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, awarded Magna Cum Laude, Duke
University.
Completed ExxonMobil’s inhouse formal schools in Production Engineering, Reservoir Engineering,
Computer Engineering. Completed industry schools in Petroleum Engineering at University of
Oklahoma and at Texas A&M University.
