State Plans Disability Underwriter.
• Prepare quotes for New York State and New Jersey Disability Insurance,based on requests
received from General Agents and Brokers.
• Have authority to underwrite groups generating estimated annualized premium up to $75,000
and up to 600 lives.
• Was instrumental in improving the overall loss ratio for the Disability book of business as di-
rected by parent company.
• Utilize premium & claims information received in determining appropriate rate to offer.
• Balance the quality of information received with marketing objectives in determining
offered rate.
• Prepare and send out premium and claims experience information on our current Policyhold-
ers,per requests made from Agents,Brokers or Policyholders.
• Periodically,review current accounts to determine possible renewal action based on trending
of Group’s experience.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track new quote activity,as well as new policies written.
• Use Microsoft Word in preparing Experience Request letters.
• Generate in-force reports to show total in-force premiums for our General Agents and Brokers
books of business.
• Review new applications for Disability prior to binding coverage to ensure proper verified ex-
perience from the prior carrier is received.
• Prepare monthly production reports showing new business written by General Agents and
Brokers. Year to date totals are shown and compared to prior year’s YTD totals.

Rate Analyst for New England Financial.
Duties included:
• Utilize a COMPAQ Prolinea 4/25S,IRM PSII And ZEOS 486 for calculating Group Life &
Health Insurance rates for a prospective Policyholder.
• Enter demographic information into the database such as age,sex,dependent status &
salaries in determining overall group benefit rates.
• Responsible for analyzing a company’s claim history to apply specific points for employees
with ongoing illnesses to correctly determine rates.
• Produce rate reports for the Sales Representatives.
• Train staff employees in the use of the rating system.
• Utilize “ENRICH” program for tracking incoming prospect activity.
