Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a master electrician seeking a position as a project manager or electrical estimator.
My qualifications include over thirty years of experience supervising and performing
electrical work. Also, I am proficient at preparing electrical estimates for new
construction and renovation projects ranging to several million dollars. A copy of my
resume is attached.
I have a wide range of leadership experience working with contractors and the federal
government. Specifically, I have created layouts, coordinated drawings in AutoCAD,
supervised electricians, prioritized labor, performed quality control, and monitored the
work of other contractors. Although many projects involved working under tight
deadlines, they were all completed on time and on budget. Furthermore, I am
experienced installing and troubleshooting electrical, security, and telecommunications
systems at government facilities in the US and overseas.
In addition, I am proficient developing submittals for commercial and federal government
construction projects using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office. Because I have a good
understanding of electrical systems, the National Electric Code and architectural
drawings, I have developed electrical proposals that are accurate, complete and
competitive with other vendors.
I hold a master electrician license in Virginia, the District of Columbia and West
Virginia. Also, I held a Top Secret clearance for over 28 years, and held SCI access for
18 of those years.
Please contact me by phone at 571-***-**** or by email at **************@*****.***
if I can be of assistance to your company’s projects and future goals.
Thank you,
Richard L. Tomkinson Jr.
