. Designed and implemented reduced downtime inter-server database

migration technique. This method minimized database down time to

several minutes compared with several hours when using traditional

approach to database migration. The technique combined usage of

Veritas Net Backup and SQL server native backup capabilities. The

technique was globally inherited among Intel sites.

. Explored and implemented I/O distributed database concept. Project

resulted in substantial decrease in server I/O contention over disk

resources while minimizing amount of drive letters used in multi

instance environment.

. Performed testing and production implementation of SSIS clustering.

Consolidated diverse SSIS environments increasing availability,

performance and manageability of the service. Performed DTS

migrations.

. Handled various types of database backups and restores. Provided

customers with point in time restore allowing recovery from user
