EDUCATION:
Received high school diploma from East Brady High School in June of 1987.
MILITARY:
Pa National Guard stationed in Ford City pa, Feb 1986 through July 1987.
US Army 1st armored division 2/6th Inf Bat. July 1987 through July 1989.
US Army 101st airborne division, 2/327 Inf July 1989 through July 1992.
Was deployed with the 101st in Saudi Arabia and Iraq during operation desert storm and desert shield.
Employment after Military:
Elger Pottery in ford city pa as a caster, Feb 1993 through May 1993. Left for better job with the Pa Department of Corrections.
After Pa Department of Corrections training academy was stationed at SCI Mahanoy as a corrections officer, sergeant and then lieutenant in Frackville pa until 2004.
Transferred to Sci Forest in Oct 2004 and served as a shift lieutenant, RHU lieutenant, armor, cert leader, institutional instructor and acting shift commander.
Promoted to Captain in June 2006 and served as a shift commander conducting the day to day operations of the institution. This entailed the supervision of staff and the inmate population, maintance, security, investigations, training, pay role, overtime and evaluation of staff. I am currently still employed in this capacity but I’m ready to retire from state service after 22+ years of service and take on a new challenge.
