Role: As Program Manager for Novartis Pharmaceuticals’ offshore initiative, I established a global

delivery model and build the team (100+ by end of 1 st year) from ground up, by collaborating

extensively across multiple stakeholders within Wipro and the client organization by a combination

of – awareness creation, providing required mentorship, facilitating large group workshops, deep

understanding of the business, understanding the technical and organizational challenges

associated with a global delivery model for technical support(Helpdesk) and new

software/application development. I established a PMO and built the team by providing them the

Role: As the key Functional Lead for Vantive (later acquired by Peoplesoft, now part of Oracle)

GE Power Systems, Schenectady: As Program manager for, I was responsible for establishing

and managing the project teams(onsite & offshore) working for GE power systems, Schenectady,

USA (in all about 70 persons working on 10 different projects on various platforms – M/F, VC++,

Sybase and C/S).

• Program management activities involved ensuring timely delivery and acceptance quality(6

Sigma) of product/services, consolidating and reporting metrics, resolving customer issues,

reviewing project progress, planning and allocating human resources, monitoring utilization,

developing skills within the group to meet business requirements, plan for training and

personal growth, prospecting for new projects, and proposals.

• Owned and managed seamless transition of the offshore delivery team for GE Power Systems

from Bangalore to Hyderabad. This was accomplished by thorough planning for transition of

systems, network, infrastructure, new resource requirement, training along with liaison with

internal and external teams and entities.

HP, Professional Services Organization (PSO), UK : Responsible for issue resolution, timely

Deutsche Software, India: As Project Manager for Bills Discounting project, I was responsible

for client liaison, requirement specifications, technical guidance, quality assurance application

development and delivery of a Client/Server application for Local Bills Discounting (LBD) and

Banker's acceptance (BA) to be used at Deutsche Bank Branches in Bombay, Delhi and Kuala

Lumpur, Malaysia.

HP, Palo Alto, CA : As Module lead for HP’s Worldwide Order Management System which

included 100+ team members, I lead the development effort for a module, coordinating with other

module leads and business. Developed software programs in C and Unix(on HP 9000) and also

DB2/CICS on IBM 3090.

Industrial Credit Investment Corporation of India Ltd.(ICICI), India : As Systems analyst and

Software Developer, I identified gaps in the existing loan accounting system, designed highly

complex software routines to evaluate loan amount, disbursement and break up for partners of the

loaning banks at various stages.

• Developed software programs in COBOL on VS Wang operating system for auditing the

existing loan accounting application processes for ICICI Bank.
