RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB

• Comply with safety law, norms standards work permit system safe work permit system

safe work procedure.

• Coordinate and motivate safety educational and training programmed.

• To promptly inculcate the spirit of safety among workers by launching safety campaigns

in the form of observing safety weeks and through other audio-visual aids including

arranging contents, talks and seminars to organize safety promotional activities.

• To identify hazardous task and process as wells hazardous zones in the worker place with

suitable demarcation of such zones.

• To keep in redlines fire – fighting squads, medical support and first aid help for the

personal during shutdown job.

• To ensure that personal protective equipment are in working condition and being used by

workers in hazardous situations.

• To inspect firefighting equipment and to see that they are in working condition.

• Arrange mock fire – fighting drills time to time in addition to fire protection surveys.

• To update review and enforce the fire detection and fire control system in addition.

Training and educational programmers on fire prevention and fighting.

• Checking PPE like safety shoes, helmet, goggles, hand gloves, safety harness.

• Pre-commissioning and commissioning activates, conduct toolbox meeting.

• Welding – inspection of tools and equipment used in welding process check for adequate

ventilation or exhaust fans for extraction of fumes.

• Radiography – Coordination with personnel involved in radiography.

• Housekeeping – Check all stairways, passageways and gangways kept free from materials

and obstruction of any kind should be removed.

• Working at height – check weather workers are at height using safety harness. If working

at above 2 meters. Height, inertia reel/fall arrester used while moving
