languages and tools including PHP, HTML, Javascript, MySQL and Photoshop.
COURSE PROJECTS
Audio Recognition in JAVA EL 7113 DSP - II Spring 2014
Implement FFT algorithm to process input audio signal and obtain its characteristics in frequency domain.
Reduced the time complexity of the implementation by using “bit reverse order” instead of divide and conquer iterations.
Communication System in C++ EL 6183 DSP Lab Fall 2013
Built a cable linked communication system with a FSK modem on Texas Instrument C6713 board, mathematical signal
processing functions, as DFT, IDFT, ADC, DAC and DSP filters were coding in C++ and CCS IDE.
“Gymnasium System” in JAVA EBU 5304 Software Engineering Fall 2011
Implemented the object-oriented design with UML structure and classes’ interfaces with other teammates collaboratively.
Avoided external database by using XML to store values, and built the whole application in JAVA and NetBeans IDE.
“Vending Machine” in JAVA EBU 6606 Product Development Spring 2011
Built an interactive vendor system in JAVA and MYSQL efficiently by following the standard software developing cycle strictly.
Video Compression in MATLAB Bachelor Thesis October 2011 – December 2012
Investigated video compression algorithms, including DCT, DWT, block -filter, color-reduction and background removal.
Realized mathematical expressions in MATLAB, and displayed compressed videos and quality performance with a GUI .
RESEARCHES
Adaptive Beamforming Research NYU Wireless June 2013 – February 2014
Sponsored by ETRI, Korea.
Investigated and developed algorithms to determine the signal energy distributions that could assist antenna to fast-establish
beamforming patterns to fit the surrounding wireless scenarios, which were described by the multipath shape factors theory.
Utilized the open source functions of the WINNER II model to build simulations in MATLAB for testing specific scenarios.
Mm-wave Propagation Measurement NYU Wireless September 2013 – December 2013
Implemented indoor and outdoor wireless channel propagation measurements for 28 and 73 GHz millimeter wave in New
York City to obtain channel characteristics as AOA, RMS delay spread, path loss, building penetration and reflection parameters.
Network Optimization Research Video Lab September 2012 – March 2013
Improved video transmission rate 10% compared to the normal multicast -RDSTC by allocating existing users re-transmitting
the well-received packages to the rest in the same network. Evaluated system performance by MATLAB based simulations.
TRAINING
LabVIEW Development Training Program National Instrument Jan 2013 – Feb 2013
Attended lectures on data flow, VI and sub-VI designs, system building, general coding and debugging in LabVIEW.
Certification granted from National Instrument as the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (Serial No. 100 -313-390).
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Programming Languages: Java, MATLAB, C++/C (Proficient); LabVIEW, Java Scripts, SQL, HTML, PHP (Prior Experience).
Deep understanding in RF propagation theory, signal processing algorithms and telecommunication protocols.
