Duties:
Monitor and Record Ambient conditions before and during the application of painting.
Ensure that the Supervisors are aware of and understands the wishes of the client regarding your areas of authority.
Revue specific client instructions pertaining to the job.
Constantly check on all aspects of Health and Safety for yourself, contractor’s men and other workers on site.
Check the Paint Specification to which the Work is to be measured.
Ensure a fair interpretation of the coating specification.
Before Coating application check that the Specified coating materials and equipment are used.
Determine that the specified surface preparation for Painting is attained.
Verify that Coatings to be used are in good condition before coating is applied.
Ensure that the removal of the surface contamination is performed if necessary.
Inspect blasted areas and mark areas that are not acceptable then inform the Foreman of the marked areas to be re-blasted.
Perform visual inspections in process of Blasting and Painting.
Monitor Paint-shop work progress for there application and adherence to Dockyard procedures.
Identify poor working practices if any.
Liaise with Workshop Superintendent and the Foreman in the application of Quality Control.
Keep the Q.C Manager informed of any developments that he should be aware of, especially that of a serious nature.
Interpret Protective Coatings Specifications to determine the course of action to be taken, monitoring results for correctness.
Witness Test Equipment results and report findings to the Management if necessary.
Investigate with the use of various test equipment to ascertain whether defects are present.
Inspect and confirm the Quality and Correctness of all work and carry out inspections of all in-process work as per job allocation.
Compile Quality Control Reports on progress of work and report Coating defects and determine repair solutions.

I have over the years developed my listening skills, this has intern created good communication and people skills. I am a very diplomatic Person. I have developed my learning skills to efficiently and effectively learn at a fast space, this is needed to be done as in my current job there is a continuous change that one needs to adapt to.
