variables, using polysomnography, to aid physician in diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
• Applied surface electrodes to patient's head, using adhesive paste, to obtain electroencephalogram (EEG)
measurement and applies other combinations of sensors and electrodes to patient to obtain measurements
such as electromyogram (EMG), electroculogram (EOG), electrocardiogram (EKG), air flow respiratory effort,
and oxygen saturation, as requested by physician and following established procedures.
• Daily operation of closed circuit television camera to observe patient during test and to record patient's sleep
activities and polysomnograph equipment to record electrical activity of brain waves and other physiological
variables and recorded notes on graph.
• Studies characteristics of polysomnograph tracings and summarizes data showing stages of sleep, abnormal
breathing events, periodic leg movements, arrhythmias, and other information, applying knowledge of
polysomnograph testing principles.
• Sterilization of all equipment, and patient rooms, assisted patient's personally in wide variety of needs while
maintaining patient confidentiality/records according to HIPAA while handling proper insurance documentation
and prescriptions.
