Objective: To secure a position with a new corporation, embrace new challenges and utilize my
experience to benefit the company, as well as myself.
Experience: 2005-Present
Plant Manager for Southern Clay Products/BYK Additives
In 2005 I was promoted to the position of Production Coordinator/ Assistant Plant Manager. This position
served as an assistant to the plant manager. In 2007, I was promoted to my current position of Plant
Manager.
As the plant manager, I am currently responsible for all aspects of plant operations including production
planning, production scheduling, staffing, maintaining raw material inventories, payroll, and
communicating specific needs with maintenance and warehouse operations. Additionally, I serve as a key
member of the safety department providing monthly safety training to hourly employees.
I am the direct supervisor of all production employees in three separate areas of production. Our facility
operates 24 hours a day/ seven days a week.
Southern Clay Products/BYK Additives is a Union facility. I am very familiar with union environments
and labor contracts as I have been a representative for SCP/ BYK Additives in four contract negotiations.
This is a very brief summary of the responsibilities that I currently manage. I would be more than willing
to discuss other aspects of my current position with you that would help determine why I would be a
strong candidate for this position.
1996-2005
Production Operator Southern Clay Products/ Sud-Chemie Inc.
Southern Clay Products purchased our division of Sud-Chemie Inc. in 2005. During this time period, I
worked as a production operator in three areas. I reached the highest operator pay grade after one year of
working as an operator.

1994-1996
Quality Control Technician Sud-Chemie Inc.
Primary responsibilities included qualitative and quantitative analysis of catalysts produced throughout
various production areas. This was an entry level position which required a 2 year chemistry degree. I was
able to successfully pass an exam to determine if I could perform the job without the required degree.
Education
1988 Honors Graduate Lely High School Naples, Florida
Indiana Wesleyan University: ASB Business Management (4.0 GPA)
Additional Skills
I am a very motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed. I am an excellent motivator of others,
and a very confident public speaker. I have excellent computer skills and am proficient in Word, Excel,
Power-Point, SAP, and AS 400 inventory systems.
Trained in Six Sigma and have worked in numerous process and production improvements.
18 plus years in a chemical process environment. Very familiar with various types of process equipment,
batch processes, reactors, spray driers, filter presses etc.
Safety and Housekeeping are issues that I promote to the highest standards. SCP reached a milestone of
one million man hours without a lost time accident in 2013.
Upon completing my associate degree in business in March 2014, my intention is to ultimately earn a
bachelor’s degree. Most of the positions that I have held with Sud-Chemie and Southern Clay have
required degrees that I did not possess. My work ethic and experience have allowed me opportunities in
the past. I believe that I can be a valuable asset to your company as well, if given the opportunity to prove
my abilities.
I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and appreciate your consideration. A resume will
provide you with some background of my past, but a face-to-face interview will allow you to see first-
hand what I have to offer.
