TEACHING:
• I am extensively involved in teaching Anaesthesia and Intensive Care to both under
and post graduate students in Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. This includes
lectures, presentations, group discussions, training both in the operating theatres and
intensive care units.
• I teach and train Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia to trainees during their rotation.
• Active participant in the regular meetings and seminars organised by the
Department of Anaesthesia, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.
• I am an external examiner for both under and postgraduate students in Anaesthesia
and Intensive Care at different Universities in Egypt.
• I participate in teaching and evaluating anaesthetic nurses in the Faculty of Nursing,
Cairo University.
• I participate in designing the students' feedback surveys on the educational process
in our department, analysing the results and make recommendations for curriculum
improvement.
CLINICAL ANAESTHESIA:
• Excellent anaesthetic experience in Paediatric Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia.
• Very good experience in anaesthesia for adult cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery
(one-lung anaesthesia).
• Very good experience in anaesthesia for general surgical procedures, ENT,
ophthalmology, laparoscopic surgery, urology, neurosurgery, dental, plastic,
orthopaedic and day-case surgery.
• Good experience in transplant surgery.
INTENSIVE CARE EXPERIENCE:
Good experience in establishing, equipping, staffing, and running multidisciplinary
intensive care units. Special interest in post-cardiac surgery intensive care. I organise
training courses in intensive care for trainees.
