My name is Jerry Phillips. I am 51 years old, mar ried for 31 years with three children. I am a Christian
man with a strong belief in God, family and count ry. I am presently the t reasurer for the Mackinaw
L ibrary, a member of the American Legion and a proud member of New Castle Bible Church. I have
served in The United States Air Force, protecting our country, from 1984-1988. I was stationed at
Mountain Home, AFB in Idaho, assigned to the 366th Logistics Squadron. Within my 4 years I was
p romoted to supervisor in charge of the Logistics Department, promoted to the rank of Sergeant and
earned two degree’s, an Associate’s Degree in Logistics Management through The Community College Of
T he Air Force and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management through Park University. I hope you see these
achievements as reflecting a person who is loyal, dedicated and has a solid work ethic.
Following my Honorable Discharge I began working for Mi tsubishi Motors in Normal, I l linois. I served 25
years learning and comprehending such tasks as quality control, inventory control, robot operation,
welding, forklift and 40 other job classifications.
After my 25 years of faithful service with M i tsubishi Motors, a new challenge presented i tself with the
opportunity to work for Enbridge Energy. As part of their Management team, I was assigned as
Warehouse Coordinator at the Pontiac Distribution Center for Enbridge Energy. My responsibilities for
t his company multi-billion dollar company are vast. Everything from Inventory Control to updating
national part levels on Excel and in Oracle. Also all inbound and outbound part distribution, directing
operators for loading and unloading, maintaining a safe work environment and equipment storage and
safety.
I believe working in both blue and white collar worlds has given me a unique perspective of the workforce
i n general. I believe I am abundantly educated both in College and in my work experiences to be an asset
to your company.

Logistics Supervisor (Military)
United States Air Force, Mountain Home, I daho
Insured proper documentation, including t ransit documents and custom clearances exists for shipments. I
ensured documentation was accurately processed, distributed and released to the carriers, forwarders,
customers and agents in a t imely manner. Prepared all necessary data entry and confi rmation of key
m ilestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, POD’s, etc.) as specified by Customer Standard
Operating Procedures. I maintained courteous and prompt customer relations. I oversaw and completed
accurate billing to clients based on pricing established with the client while ensuring accurate costs and
p rofits were maintained. I planned and scheduled appropriate modes of t ransportation based on daily
needs. I worked closely with clients to ensure service satisfaction. I provided t raining for individuals who
needed kept up to date on their t raining processes. I analyzed service failures and issues and
i mplemented performance improvements to enhance future dealings. Forklift operation, tug and wrecker
operation.
Inventory Control Specialist (Union)
M itsubishi Motors, Normal, I llinois
Worked as an inventory and quality control specialist coordinating and expediting the f low of materials
and parts from work order to material staging and t racking parts. I worked between cross functional
g roups to ensure the parts and quality were on t ime and intact. I was also responsible for maintaining
acceptable and accurate inventory levels, reporting shortages, overages and all inventory levels daily for
replenishment and accountability. My process ensured that continuing operations occurred and I avoided
p roduct or inventory bottlenecks or shortages. I was responsible for classifying, labeling and warehousing
a ll front and rear bumpers for future use. I kept accurate records of inventory levels and location for easy
retrieval. I used my Logistics background and analytical approach to solve department production issues
by using t ime studies and hands on ergonomics solutions to problems. Forklift operation and picker
required.
Warehouse Coordinator (Management 1 Yr Contact)
Enbridge Energy, Pontiac, I llinois
As a warehouse Coordinator for a multi-billion dollar company, my duties were surmountable. I am in
charge of inventory and import and export of material for 8 different job sites within a 300 mile radius.
Waterloo, Belvidere, Ottawa, Decatur, Dekalb, Flanagan, Patoka and Delevan. My duties involve
i nventory of all pipeline material received and shipped. These range from t ransformers (over 1 million
each) to f langes to valves for the worksite. All parts are categorized using Excel spreadsheet and entered
i nto our Oracle program for all job sites to view. I am in charge of two union operators, making sure safety
is adhered to at all t imes and lift plans and r igging is done properly. We currently have 4 forklifts, (6-15-
35 thousand pound), a Mantis Crane(70 ton). All purchase orders are stamped and entered into
sharepoint and Excel spreadsheets and Oracle Systems. I deal with million dollar parts and equipment
daily and make sure all is documented properly.(size, quantity, identification number, location.) I am
i nvolved in budgeting and planning, meeting with buyers and clients and recording all information within
t he warehouse. Nothing leaves or enters without my approval.

The program emphasized the management and integration of customer service, inventory, packaging,
logistics information and disposal. I developed in-depth knowledge of all aspects of t ransportation
systems, including legal, regulatory and manufacturing operations.
Park University
Bachelor’s Of Science I n Management
The program instructed me in all skills necessary to handle the Logistics business aspects of shipping,
t ransportation and finances. The program also emphasizes the management and integration of customer
service, inventory, packaging, logistics information and disposal. Students develop in-depth knowledge of
a ll aspects of t ransportation systems, including legal, regulatory and political issues. I took courses that
cover the details of claim forms and contracts along with technical calculations. Students will also take
courses on microcomputers and business applications. The following are among the course topics that
logistics management students can expect: Business logistics, Accounting, Material Handling Supervision
and Traffic Management.
